A safe containing $1,000 was stolen from Flappers comedy club on Thursday.

The burglary was discovered when an employee arrived at the comedy club, located at 532 west First Street, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Claremont police said in a release.

The employee noticed broken glass bottles inside, and also discovered the safe was missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the business, police said.

There is currently no suspect information available, but police noted that the owner is in the process of obtaining surveillance footage from the scene to give to the Claremont Police Department.

Police are also asking nearby businesses in the Packing House to check their surveillance footage as well. Anyone with information should call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
