On Sunday, December 2 the Democratic Club of Claremont hosts its annual free and open to the public holiday party with special guests including Congressmember Judy Chu and Assemblymember Chris Holden, who will speak at the 4:30 p.m. gathering at Pilgrim Place’s Napier Center, 660 Avery Rd.

The club will also be honoring two of its longtime members, Sally Seven and Sam Pedroza, with an award in memory of the late Helen Myers (1914-2005), a co-founder of the California Democratic Council and of the Voorhis Democratic Club, and a trustee of Scripps College.

The annual celebration, which includes a buffet dinner and refreshments, includes a call for new members, existing members to renew and for everyone to contribute to the club’s activities throughout the year.
