Honoring our armed services heroes
United States Army Sargent and Silver Star recipient Joshua Labbe, was the keynote speaker at the Memorial Day service at the Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont Monday. He was honored for his service and actions in Afghanistan from an intense 7-hour firefight during his deployment in 2010. His message focused on how his comrades lost would want people not to mourn them, but live happy productive lives that celebrate their freedom. About 150 people attended the annual ceremony.
