On Thursday, May 23, more than 100 volunteers were honored at the senior program’s annual volunteer recognition event. Volunteers were treated to a taco bar, cake pops, custom-made pins, a photo booth and live music. Volunteers awarded for exceptional service are Margo Lopez, Blaisdell Site Award; Bette Nola, Joslyn Site Award; Joe Lyons, Los Angeles County Older American Award; Pat Coye, Josephine Smith Award; VNA Hospice & Palliative Care of So Cal, Extra Mile, Extra Smile Award; Cindy Sullivan, Over & Above Award; and Anita Chalmers, Muriel Farritor Award.
