It was hard to notice the full moon that rose just after sunset and lit up the night sky all evening. August 2012 is an unusual month because there will be 2 full moons. The next one is scheduled on 31st and is technically called a blue moon, coined from the phrase “Once in a blue moon,” because the occurrence doesn’t happen very often.
