Where am I?

Congratulations to Shelley Randles, who was chosen at random among the 15 readers who correctly identified last week’s “Where Am I?” as the wooden sculpture outside the California Bank and Trust Building, 102 N. Yale Ave., Claremont. The 1972 building and tower were designed by local architect the late Everett Tozier, and the tower chimes, which were removed for restoration years ago, by the late Claremont ceramist Harrison McIntosh. Shelley is now entered into the year-end drawing to receive a copy of the Courier’s new coffee table book of photography, “Timeless Claremont.” So “Where Am I” this week? Email your answer, full name, and city of residence — and suggestions for future mystery photos — to contest@claremont-courier.com for your chance to win. Courier photo/Tom Smith
