Yet another rain event brings more wet weather
High over the Claremont Wilderness Park the beginning of a wet storm system enters the area late Wednesday afternoon. Southern California will experience over one inch of rain through Thursday, with even more in the foothills and mountains. This is all part of a series of large storms that will pass quickly and move east across the U.S. This is welcome news for drought-stricken California, which has seen significant but severe rain and snowfall to the north in San Francisco and the Sierra Nevada. Locally, we can expect yet more rain Sunday. High temperatures will remain in the 50s, which will keep snow levels above 7,000 feet. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
