Pomona Valley Art Association’s annual “Young Artist Show,” featuring works by artists in grades sixth through 12th, opens Saturday, September 6 at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd., Claremont, with free 11 a.m. opening reception, where ribbons and prizes will be awarded. The show is up through December 4. The Hughes Center is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
