AMOCA panel focuses on history of architectural pottery

The public is invited to a 2 to 3:30 p.m. discussion with panelists Marilyn Kay Austin, Emily Elkins, Damon Lawrence, Alvin Lee, Chris Menrad, and Lee Witten, on Sunday, January 12, at the American Museum of Ceramic Art, 399 N. Garey Ave., Pomona.

The talk, moderated by adjunct curator Jo Lauria, will focus on AMOCA’s current exhibition, “Architectural Pottery: Ceramics for a Modern Landscape,” the accompanying book of the same name, and the history of architectural pottery. A Q&A will follow.

The talk is free with admission, $14 for adults, $9 for seniors, veterans, and AMOCA member guests, and $7 for Pomona residents, students and educators. AMOCA members and children 12 and under are free. RSVP at amoca.org/events or call (909) 865-3146.
