Cal Poly Pomona receives $3 million gift
Cal Poly Pomona’s Collins College of Hospitality Management recently received a $3 million gift from the Larry and Jo Shupnick Family Foundation. Funds will be used to establish the Shupnick Innovation Center.
“The gift will support the transformation of a nearly 14,000-square-foot building into a dynamic educational space that includes a state-of-the-art test kitchen, flexible collaboration zones and cutting-edge interdisciplinary classrooms” according to a news release.
The renovation plans are part of a broader effort to modernize facilities, according to the release. The first phase is scheduled to be complete by 2027; the second phase completion date is to be determined.
