CHS girls cross-country takes second at state meet
Claremont High School’s girls cross-country team capped its season November 29 with a second-place finish at the CIF State Division 2 cross-country meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. The Wolfpack finished with 161 points, second to Whitney High of Rocklin’s 136.
Senior Isla Bulmer finished fifth at 17:33; sophomores Camila Trevino-Davila 17th at 17:55, and Grace Smith 24th, 18:00; freshman Grace Delaney 63rd at 18:47; and senior Joy Cheng was 99th at 19:21. Full results are at athletic.net.
The CHS girls captured both the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 title and Palomares League championship this year.
The CHS boys team wrapped the season November 21 at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 championships, finishing eighth out of 17 teams with 213 points. The boys finished second behind Ayala in the Palomares League.
