The City of Claremont is offering business owners grants of up to $2,000 for the installation of shatter-proof window films.

The Claremont City Council voted unanimously in October 2024 to allocate $50,000 in surplus general funds from fiscal year 2023-24 to fund the grants.

The program aims to limit damages to businesses and mitigate the costs of acts of vandalism and burglary. Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are based on funding availability. Applications are at claremontca.gov.
