Claremont CERT training starts September 9
Training for Claremont’s Community Emergency Response Team begins Monday, September 9, at Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd., Claremont. Courses are led by CCERT staff unless denoted otherwise. Email kroa@ci.claremont.ca.us to enroll.
Disaster preparedness training kicks off Monday, September 9. A light search and rescue class follows Wednesday, September 11. Disaster medical training takes place September 16 and 18. A fire safety and utility control training is Monday, September 23. And a disaster psychology and terrorism course is Wednesday, September 25. All trainings are from 6 to 9 p.m.
The final review and certification ceremony runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 28. Students must complete all hours of the course to receive a certificate of completion.
Applications are at ci.claremont.ca.us, search “CERT.” They must be submitted at the Claremont Police Department, 570 W. Bonita Ave.
