The Claremont Forum Bookshop, home to the Prison Library Project, hosts a showcase and silent auction fundraiser to cap its “Canvas 4a Cause” artist call during the 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Claremont Art Walk at 586 W. First St.

An online auction will also run June 2-16. Proceeds from the artwork, donated by local artists, will support the Forum and the Prison Library Project.

“The Canvas 4a Cause event is a chance to celebrate our amazing arts community and enact positive change,” wrote Claremont Forum board member Rachel McDonnell in an email. “We are deeply grateful to the artists who have contributed their work and to everyone who will join us to support this cause.”
