CUSD launches new attendance campaign
Claremont Unified School District has a new districtwide campaign aimed at promoting the importance of consistent attendance at school for students.
The email and social media campaign, unveiled September 1 via its YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts, will educate students and parents about the value of consistent attendance.
“CUSD believes that being present at school enhances learning and helps develop social skills and school connectedness,” the district wrote in a statement. “Through this comprehensive campaign, the district hopes to elevate awareness and understanding about the vital role of regular school attendance in student success.”
The campaign will soon incorporate a student video contest, “showing up together,” and each month will conduct a drawing for schools with exemplary attendance, with winners announced on social media.
