The Claremont Young Musicians Intermezzo and Overture Strings orchestras play a free and open to the public 7 p.m. concert Sunday, January 21, at Bridges Hall of Music, 150 E. Fourth St.

The Intermezzo orchestra, comprised of children ages 10 to 17, will be conducted by Greg Samuel, and the Overture Strings orchestra, a beginning orchestra for ages 8 to 13, by Wendy Waggener.

The Intermezzo program includes “La Belle Helene Overture” by Jacques Offenbach, “L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2” by Georges Bizet, “Marche Militaire Francaise” by Camille Saint-Saens, “Fiddle-Faddle” by Leroy Anderson, “Symphonic Portrait” by Lennie Niehaus, and “Poet and Peasant: Overture” by Franz Von Suppe. The Overture Strings will perform music by Salieri, Smith, Del Borgo, and Moussorgsky.
