CYMO turns 35 June 2, celebrates with free concert
The Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra’s free and open to the public 35th anniversary concert takes place at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at Bridges Hall of Music, 150 E. Fourth St., Claremont.
The 2 p.m. performance will feature the Claremont Young Musicians Intermezzo Orchestra playing works by Beethoven, Bizet, Sibelius, Leroy Anderson, and Grieg, and the Overture Strings Orchestra performing music of Bach, Brahms and Washburn. The 7 p.m. concert, conducted by David Cubek, will see the Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra highlighting the likes of Schubert, Schostakovich, and Tchaikovsky. The soloists for the evening program will be Ninah Chan and Hanbo Xu, the CYMO 2024 concerto competition winners.
