Dia de los Muertos in Claremont
Claremont’s free and public community celebration for Dia de los Muertos runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 11 on Harvard Avenue in the Village.
It includes mariachi and folkloric dancers, community altars, face painting, family activities, and food vendors. Buzzworthy Beverages, 305 N. Harvard Ave., and Claremont Village Eatery, 232 W. Bonita Ave., will be offering specialty treats. Claremont Lewis Museum of Art, 200 W. First St., will host the dA Center for the Arts’ mini mariachis from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and its De Colores program at 2 and 2:30 p.m. Loteria and children’s crafts will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Claremont Helen Renwick Library, 208 N. Harvard Ave.
