Fairplex’s 12th annual Oktoberfest opens at 6 p.m. Friday, October 3 at 1101 W. McKinely Ave., Pomona, and runs 6 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through October 18 with beer, live entertainment, and a car show. Tickets are $16-$19 at fairplex.com/oktoberfest or $20-$25 at the gate.

Fairplex’s Lights Out, for horror fans and thrill seekers with Halloween vendors, paintball, and jump scares, runs 6:30 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays October 3-25. Tickets are $27-$40 at fairplex.com/lightsout and parking is $26.
