Los Angeles County residents can get rid of electronic or hazardous waste such as expired chemicals, paints, and solvents at a free 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 16 drive-thru collection event at Brackett Field Airport, 1615 McKinley Ave., La Verne.

Participants are required to secure items in car trunks or truck beds in a sturdy boxes or original packaging. Multiple stops are okay, but with a limit of 125 pounds or 15 gallons per trip.

No explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, controlled substances, trash, tires, large appliances or business waste will be accepted. Visit ci.claremont.ca.us for more details.
