On Thursday, October 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. Hillcrest will host a free and open to the public “meet the artists” reception for its newest exhibit. “Seeing One Another” is a collection of works by Tony Barnes, Chelsea Lenninger, Christam Osorio, and Daniel Padilla, artists from the Tierra Del Sol Gallery.

The exhibit, curated by Jason La Motte, focuses on the inclusion and value of disabled people. “The subjects are people in the act of seeing, people whose gazes are directed at us. The artwork allows us to see how each artist sees their subject, and offers an opportunity for receptivity.” The works are on view through December 31 at the Hillcrest Meeting House, 2705 Mountain View Dr., La Verne. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with free admission.
