Holiday reminders from the City of Claremont

Overnight parking restrictions relaxed
Residents and their guests may park on city streets from 2 to 6 a.m. without obtaining an exemption on Monday, December 25; Tuesday, December 26; Monday, January 1, 2024; and Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

 

Closures
City offices including city hall, city yard, Blaisdell Community Center, and Alexander Hughes Community Center will be closed from Monday, December 25 through Monday, January 1, 2024. Programs at the Youth and TRACKS activities centers will be suspended to coincide with the Claremont Unified School District winter break from Friday, December 22, through Friday, January 5, 2024.

The Joslyn Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave., Claremont, will be closed for classes and activities, but lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. from Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29.

Emergency services will continue to operate.

Sanitation services
Trash and recycling will not be picked up Monday, December 25, or Monday, January 1, 2024, and the regular pickup schedule will be delayed one day for the week of December 24.

Sanitation bills may still be paid online, mailed, or dropped off at the drop box at city hall, 207 N. Harvard Ave., during the holiday closures. Bin rentals and bulk item collection will be available, but arrangements must be made before Friday, December 22.
