Old Town La Verne’s free and open to the public holiday stroll takes place at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 2, beginning near Mainiero Square at the intersection of D and 3rd streets. The event will include caroling, live music, and a free photo opportunity with Santa, followed by a 6 p.m. lighting of the town’s Christmas tree. A second community lighting ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, December 4, at La Verne City Hall, 3660 D St.
