Local Lunar New Year events coming up
Rancho Cucamonga’s annual Lunar Festival, featuring food vendors, shopping, and cultural performances, will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 20, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 21, at the city’s sports center, 8303 Rochester Ave. Admission and parking are free. Plaza West Covina, 112 Plaza Dr., hosts a free and open to the public Lunar New Year event Saturday, January 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. which will include performances from dragon dancers, arts and crafts for children, and character meet and greets with the likes of Mulan and Meilin Lee from the 2022 Pixar Animation Studios movie “Turning Red.”
