An Unruly Assembly
“An Unruly Assembly: Selections from the Culley Collection of Woodblock Prints,” runs through Sunday, January 4, 2026. Curated by Benton Director Victoria Sancho Lobis with help from curatorial assistants and students, it’s billed as the first exhibition of woodblock prints from Pomona College’s Culley Collection, which has been under the care of the college since 1959. It was a gift from the daughters of English-born collector John H. Culley.

Line, Smudge, Shade
“Line, Smudge, Shade: Contemporary Drawing in Our Los Angeles,” organized by the Benton’s academic curator Solomon Salim Moore and curatorial assistant HeeSoo Alice Lee, showcases the lining, smudging and shading techniques of 16 contemporary artists from Los Angeles. Open through Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Two-Way Stretch
“Two-Way Stretch: Electronic Drawing in Early Animation and Computer Art” includes works by Norman McLaren, Jennifer Reeves and others that “explores electronic drawing in experimental animation and computer art of the twentieth century,” according to the exhibit’s description. Organized by Solveig Nelson, a curator of photography and new media, it’s up through Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Art Hall Projects 1
“Art Hall Projects 1: Manuel Lopez” features “monumental wall drawings” by the Los Angeles artist. It was curated by academic curator Solomon Salim Moore with support from the Pasadena Art Alliance and is on view through June 28, 2026.

The Benton, at 120 W. Bonita Ave., Claremont, is free and open to public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
