Claremont Graduate University was recently awarded funding from the Office of Indian Education’s Professional Development Program for its Haseya teacher preparation program.

The program is meant to help select Native American groups earn a California preliminary K-12 teaching credential or master’s degrees in education. Haseya is a Navajo word meaning “to rise up.” The deadline to apply for the upcoming winter program is January 1, 2026 at cgu.edu, search “Haseya Teacher Preparation.”
