Pilgrim Place hosts Christian nationalism forum Sunday
Claremont United Church of Christ and Pilgrim Place host Reverend David Vásquez-Levy, president of Pacific School of Religion, for a free and open to the public 3:30 p.m. lecture, “I Pledge Allegiance: Poly-crisis and the Rise of Christian Nationalism,” Sunday, March 3, at Decker Hall, 665 Avery Rd., Claremont. The forum will also be livestreamed at facebook.com/UCCClaremont, and youtube.com/@ClaremontUnitedChurchofChrist.
The event honors the late Marilee K. Scaff, a Claremont civic leader and champion of ecological and social justice.
At 9 a.m., the Reverend Vásquez-Levy will lead a 50 minute adult education forum at CUCC, 233 Harrison Ave., “Leadership in Apocalyptic Times.” He will also speak during the 10 a.m. service.
