Police Blotter: June 30, 2023

Wednesday, June 21
Claremont Police Department officers on patrol pulled over Kristina Feser, 37, of Pomona on Foothill Boulevard at Garey Avenue at 11:11 a.m. for an equipment violation. Police allege Feser displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested her for DUI after conducting field sobriety tests. A records check on her passenger, Javier Aguirre, 46 also of Pomona, revealed a felony warrant. Another passenger, Alma Guido, 28, was reportedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. They were all arrested and taken to the Claremont jail, where Feser was held for detoxification. Feser and Guido were later released with citations to appear in court while Aguirre was transferred to West Valley Detention Center on his warrant.

Across town at 11:37 a.m. officers on patrol pulled over Montclair resident Rodolfo Flores, 35, for an equipment violation on Indian Hill Boulevard at San Jose Avenue. A records check showed Flores had three San Bernardino County warrants and one from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested for the warrants, taken to the CPD jail, booked, and released with citations to appear in court.

At 10:21 p.m. a victim called police to report their vehicle had been stolen from the Starbucks parking lot at 810 S. Indian Hill Blvd. As officers were taking the report, they ran the plate and discovered California Highway Patrol had already recovered the vehicle, which had been in a solo hit-and-run collision on the 10 Freeway at Dudley in Pomona. The vehicle had apparently crashed into the center divider, but there was no suspect at the scene.

 

Friday, June 23
Officers on patrol at 1:16 a.m. near Indian Hill Boulevard and San Jose Avenue pulled over another driver for an equipment violation that resulted in a warrant arrest. When officers questioned the driver, Jose Caudillo, 37, from Pomona, he allegedly admitted he did not have a driver’s license and a records check revealed he had a warrant. Caudillo was arrested for driving without a license and the warrant, and his car was impounded. He was later released on a citation.

Officers on patrol pulled over Iesenia Guzman, 42, of Riverside, near the 210 Freeway off ramp at Baseline Road at 1:15 p.m. Guzman verbally identified herself and a records check reportedly showed she was on probation for a narcotics conviction. During a consent and probation search of her car officers sad they found drug paraphernalia. Guzman was arrested for being an unlicensed driver and for possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger, Oscar Moreno, 48, also from Riverside, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Both were taken to the CPD jail where they were booked and later released with citations to appear in court.

Officers on a roving DUI suppression patrol pulled over Pomona resident Arthur Walker, 53, at 7:52 p.m. for a moving violation in the 700 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard. Police said Walker appeared to be intoxicated and arrested him for DUI following field sobriety tests. A records check showed he also had a DUI warrant for his arrest. Walker was arrested, taken to the CPD jail where he was held for detoxification, and later released on citations to appear in court.

 

Saturday, June 24
At 1:36 a.m. police pulled over 39-year-old Lancaster resident Marvin Bridgeforth on Harrison Avenue for a vehicle code violation. During questioning police learned that Bridgeforth was on parole. While conducting a parole search of his car officers allegedly found a firearm. Bridgeforth was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, taken to the Claremont jail, booked, and later transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles.

Officers responded to a 7:45 a.m. rollover vehicle collision on Indian Hill Boulevard at Tenth Street. Police report the driver, Claremont resident Mathew Alvarado, 29, displayed symptoms of intoxication and that field sobriety tests confirmed he was driving impaired. He was arrested for driving on a suspended license and felony DUI because he has at least three previous DUI convictions. He was transported to the CPD jail where he was held for detoxification and later released with a citation.

 

Sunday, June 25
A witness called police at 3:23 p.m. to report a possible drunk driver in the area of Indian Hill Boulevard and the 10 Freeway. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Glendora resident Erika Ruiz, 47, for a moving violation. Police said Ruiz displayed symptoms of intoxication and arrested her for DUI after conducting sobriety tests. She was transported to the police station where she allegedly refused to submit to a chemical test. A search warrant was issued for the blood test, but police said she again refused. Ruiz was charged with DUI and violation of a court order. She was held for detoxification, and later released with a citation to appear in court.
