Patria Church’s food giveaway is set for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 22 at 490 E. La Verne Ave., Pomona, and 10900 Civic Center Dr., Rancho Cucamonga. Register at brushfire.com/patria/familytofamily. Recipients will collect a turkey and other food for Thanksgiving meals.

“We’ve seen inflation and food prices continue to rise throughout southern California,” read a Patria news release. “Our Generosity Center, which distributes food weekly, has also seen a rapid increase in families coming to receive food. This event will make it possible for thousands of people who are poor, homeless or underemployed to enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal, which they may not have otherwise.”
