Earlier this month Gentry Brothers, Inc., began the first phase of construction for the City of Claremont’s Towne Avenue Complete Streets Improvement Project.

The first phase of construction consists of concrete removal and replacement from the road as well as any adjacent drive approaches, sidewalks, and ADA ramps along the Towne Avenue corridor from Foothill Boulevard to the 210 Freeway. This phase of work is expected to conclude after five weeks, the city stated in a September 7 post. During this phase, passersby should note pedestrian detours, vehicular traffic control signage, and “no parking” warnings.
