Tri-City accepting grant proposals

Tri-City Mental Health Services is accepting proposals for the California Mental Health Services Authority Tri-City Community mini-grant, the community wellbeing grant, and the Mental Health Student Services Act sub-grant.

The Tri-City mini-grant is meant for organizations or individuals to uplift underrepresented demographics in Pomona, La Verne, and Claremont. Funds can be used for a series of events or for a one-time practice and “should aim to foster connections, increase help seeking behaviors, provide mental wellness support, increase awareness and access to mental health services and resources, and other activities that address one or more of the MHSA PEI-identified negative effects of untreated mental illness,” according to a news release at tricitymhs.org. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 21 to calmhsa.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/174682. Email candice.medina@calmhsa.org for more information.

The Mental Health Student Services Act sub-grant offers Pomona, Claremont, and Bonita unified school districts and The School of Arts and Enterprise and Los Angeles County Office of Education a chance to apply for funding meant to address mental and emotional health resources for people 25 and under, primarily those in foster care, identifying as LGBTQIA+, or who have been expelled or suspended. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 31 at tricitymhs.org. More info is available via email to esapinoso@tricitymhs.org or by calling (909) 784-3091.

Applications for the community wellbeing grant to fund projects addressing mental and emotional well-being of Pomona, La Verne, and Claremont citizens are due by noon Tuesday, April 1 at tricitymhs.org. More info is available via email to dmartinez@tricitymhs.org.
