Devoted husband, father, and son

Matthew Daniel Wesley, 52, born August 12, 1972, died January 5 after a short illness. He was a former resident of Claremont and a current resident of Ontario.

Matt graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a business degree, then went to work with his father at SRS Construction. During the last 30 years he was welcomed into hundreds of homes in Claremont for remodeling projects. He always enjoyed getting to know the homeowners and their pets.

He was devoted to his family. He went to his kids’ sports games and joined them regularly to watch football on TV, especially cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed whole family gatherings, traditional holiday meals, and games of poker afterwards.

He filled his life with music and laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Jacob; daughter, Lauren; parents, Dan and Kathryn Wesley; and brother, Nathan.

“Matt is deeply missed and always will be,” his family shared.
