Obituary: Patricia A. Lambert
Longtime Claremont resident, nurse, traveler
Patricia A. Lambert died peacefully of natural causes on June 14 at her home in Claremont. She was 85.
Patricia was born May 13, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Marion Roerich Murphy and William Murphy. She married her beloved husband, Denis Lambert, in 1959. The couple had known each other for years, having attended the same grade school and neighboring parochial high schools. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1960 as a registered nurse.
After the couple moved to Claremont, California in 1971, she worked as a nurse for many years as an RN at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. The couple were active members of both Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Claremont and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Upland.
“Patricia had a wide circle of friends, a kind heart towards all and enjoyed volunteer work at the neighborhood thrift store after retiring from nursing,” her family shared.
The couple enjoyed traveling the world, often cruising, and especially spending time with their daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie Lambert Nix, in 2015; and her husband, Denis, in 2016.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her granddaughters, Caitlin and Calleigh Nix; son-in-law, Royce Nix; and many cousins and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 7 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 435 N. Berkeley Ave., Claremont, CA 91711.
