Obituary: Lori Clonts Bodhaine
Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend
Claremont resident Lori Clonts Bodhaine died January 25 at the age of 57. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Lori was born in Los Angeles in 1963. She grew up in Glendora, and was the third child in a family of eight children. Being the only girl, she was a great help to her parents in caring for her brothers. She was adored by her entire family. She graduated from Glendora High School in 1981.
She attended Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, where she met and later fell in love with Greg Bodhaine. They were married in 1984 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Los Angeles Temple. After BYU, the couple moved to San Francisco, where Greg attended dental school at the University of the Pacific.
After dental school, the couple settled in Claremont where then Dr. Bodhaine has been practicing dentistry since 1989. She earned her law degree from the University of La Verne in 1993.
She was a devoted mother to their three children, and was actively involved in their many activities and school functions.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving selflessly in a variety of positions. She served as the La Verne Stake Young Women’s president, where she cared for the wellbeing of hundreds of teenage girls living in the Pomona Valley. Most recently, she served as the Relief Society president of the Claremont First Ward. During this time, she lovingly watched over and cared for the women in Claremont and Pomona.
She loved to bake and was well known for her delicious cookies, as well as many other treats. She was constantly thinking of others and generously sharing of her means and time to uplift the lives of everyone she met. She often would deliver homemade treats to people, just to be kind.
She had an adventurous spirit, and loved to travel. Along with her husband and children, she traveled the world, visiting many exciting places. They also spent many summers waterskiing at Lake Powell with family and friends.
She is survived by her parents Roy and Sharon Clonts; six brothers; her husband Greg Bodhaine; children Brennan (Rachel) Bodhaine, Cameron Bodhaine, Kelsey (Stephen) Watkins, and many extended family members who love her dearly.
A special memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25.
