Wednesday, March 18
A caller notified the Claremont Police Department that a car had struck the concrete barrier near Evey Canyon at 4:30 p.m. Arriving officers found two passengers, an adult and a minor, had sustained injuries, and they were transported to a local hospital. The driver, a 29-year-old La Puente man, was arrested for felony DUI and misdemeanor child endangerment, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court.
Sunday, March 22
Police responded to a 1:16 p.m. report that a heavyset Hispanic man with brown hair attempted to strike people with his car at Peppertree Square at Arrow Highway and Indian Hill Boulevard. An investigation is ongoing.

Monday, March 23
A construction crew member notified police at 8:26 a.m. that a business in the 300 block of Yale Avenue had been burglarized. The loss of $9,800 worth of property happened between 2:43 a.m. March 22 and 8 a.m. March 23. An investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday, March 25
Employees from Vons, 550 E. Base Line Rd., called police at 3:49 p.m. to report a person had stolen laundry supplies. Arriving officers located the suspect leaving the area in a car, and say he obeyed initial commands to stop, but then fled onto the 210 Freeway. The store estimated the loss at $1,910. Police later identified the suspect as a 37-year-old Hemet man. On March 26 he was located in Riverside County, where CPD officers arrested him for felony theft and evading police. He was booked at the Claremont jail in front of a March 30 appearance at Pomona Superior Court, after which he was released. He is due back in court May 11.
Thursday, March 26
Officers responded to calls about a man lying on the sidewalk at San Jose and College avenues at 6 p.m. The 23-year-old from San Antonio, Texas allegedly told police he was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and was recovering from a recent physical altercation. As they moved to arrest him for misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia police say he pulled away. He was then arrested for the paraphernalia charge and misdemeanor resisting arrest. He was transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation to appear in court.

Sunday, March 29
CPD officers responded to a 9:27 p.m. robbery call at Rocky Liquor, 1045 W. Foothill Blvd., where they spoke to an employee with a minor head injury sustained while trying to stop four suspects from fleeing the store. After an area search, police located four juveniles hiding in bushes in the 900 block of Ottawa Drive and allege one attempted to flee. All four were charged with felony robbery and the one who had attempted to flee with additional charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting arrest. They were transported to CPD, booked, and transported to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey.
Wednesday, April 1
Claremont police responded to 2:30 a.m. calls about a woman striking a car with her own in the 800 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard. Arriving officers noted a child present, and arrested the driver, a 25-year-old Colton woman, for felony child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon. She was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and later released on bail. Police saidthe child, who had been released to a family member, was not injured.
Claremont’s automated license plate reader camera notified CPD at 8:10 p.m. that a car related to a 2025 felony child abuse case was in the city. Police then stopped a 30-year-old Claremont man at Indian Hill Boulevard and the 10 Freeway and arrested him for felony child abuse and a felony LA County warrant. He was transported to CPD, booked, and later released after posting bail.
Friday, April 3
Police responded to a domestic violence report at a residence in the 200 block of Armstrong Drive at 10:15 a.m., determined an altercation had occurred, and arrested a 54-year-old Claremont woman for felony domestic violence. She was transported to jail, booked, and later released due to a medical issue.
Officers responded to a 2:15 p.m. report of a suspicious person at Bank of America, 339 N. Yale Ave. A records check of the 31-year-old Beaverton, Oregon man returned felony warrants in Tennessee and Minnesota for fraud, leading to his arrest. Police searched his vehicle and allegedly recovered hundreds of gift cards and about $120,000 in fraudulently obtained currency. Police said the man was being investigated by the FBI for his role in a fraud and money laundering organization. He was transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He was later extradited to Tennessee to face charges there. CPD “is now working closely with law enforcement partners across multiple states to advance this investigation and help disrupt this criminal operation,” according to a CPD press release.
Saturday, April 4
Police are searching for two men seen wearing masks, gloves, gray sweatshirts, and black pants after they forced their way into Claremont Cones, 602 E. Base Line Rd., at 2:02 a.m. and stole about $10. Those with knowledge of the crime are asked to call CPD at (909) 399-5411.
Sunday, April 5
Following 9:45 p.m. reports of an altercation at a residence in the 500 block of S. College Avenue, arriving officers arrested a 34-year-old Claremont woman for misdemeanor battery. She was transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.
