Wednesday, December 11

Claremont Police Department officers responded to a 12:23 a.m. call from the Claremont Lodge, 736 S. Indian Hill Blvd., regarding a guest who was refusing to leave. Arriving officers questioned 39-year-old La Verne resident Lisa Valencia, and a records check revealed she had two misdemeanor warrants. She was arrested, and a search allegedly turned up methamphetamine and a pipe, adding possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, to her charge list. She was then transported to CPD jail, where she was booked and later released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

 

Thursday, December 12

Officers spoke with a 29-year-old unhoused man at 4:15 p.m. near the Greyhound bus station, 888 S. Indian Hill Blvd., and a records check showed he had a misdemeanor Los Angeles County warrant. He was arrested, booked at CPD, and later released with a citation.

Claremont resident Joel Perry, 32, was pulled over at 10:56 p.m. for a moving violation at College Avenue and Meredith Street. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. A subsequent search allegedly turned up methamphetamine, which added misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance to his charge list. He was then booked at CPD, held for detox, and later released with a citation.

 

Friday, December 13

Police questioned a 53-year-old unhoused man at 1:28 a.m. near Lucky’s Coffee Roasters, 665 E. Foothill Blvd. A records check revealed misdemeanor warrants from LA and San Bernardino counties. He was arrested, booked at CPD, cited for the warrants, and released.

At 9:41 p.m., police stopped Alex Montoya, 39, of Alameda, for moving violations at Foothill Boulevard and Garey Avenue in Pomona. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. He was booked at CPD, held for detox, and later released with a citation.

 

Saturday, December 14

Pomona resident Jason Reeves, 33, was stopped for equipment and moving violations near Towne Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Pomona at 1:57 a.m. After field sobriety tests, Reeves was arrested for misdemeanor DUI, booked at CPD, held for detox, and later released with a citation.

Police were dispatched to Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd., at 10 a.m. regarding a fight. Arriving officers spoke with the two men and determined a 45-year-old unhoused man was the primary aggressor, leading to his arrest for felony domestic violence. He was then booked at CPD jail and held for court. He was released via a court order on December 17.

A CPD officer stopped Joseph Williams, 26, of Jurupa Valley, for a vehicle code violation near Indian Hill Boulevard and the 10 Freeway at 4:30 p.m. A records check revealed two misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrants, and he was arrested, booked at CPD, and released with a citation.

Pomona resident John Edwards, 29, was pulled over at 10:50 p.m. for moving violations near Towne Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Pomona. After field sobriety tests Edwards was arrested for misdemeanor DUI, booked at CPD, held for detox, and later released with a citation.

Sunday, December 15

Police stopped a 52-year-old unhoused man riding a bicycle for vehicle code violations at 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of south Indian Hill Boulevard. A records check showed three misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrants. He was arrested, booked at CPD, and later released with a citation.
