Police Blotter: July 4, 2025

Tuesday, June 24
Claremont police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Ohio Drive at 12:12 a.m. on reports that a 26-year-old Upland man who had been legally barred from the location was present. The man had left the area by the time they arrived, but police later found him near Towne Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. A records check confirmed the restraining order, and he was arrested for misdemeanor violation of a court order and transported to CPD, where he was booked and held for court. He appeared at Pomona Superior Court the following day and was released.
Police responded to the 200 block of W. First Street at noon after receiving calls of a man and woman involved in a physical altercation. Arriving officers spoke with the pair and determined the woman, a 42-year-old from Upland, was the aggressor. She was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. She appeared in Pomona Superior Court June 26 and was released.
Wednesday, June 25
Police received an 11:37 a.m. call from a person reporting a woman had attempted to assault them at The Corner Grill and Bakery, 701 S. Indian Hill Blvd. Arriving officers who spoke to the alleged aggressor, a 42-year-old woman from Pomona, said she was hostile, did not comply with orders, and attempted to punch them and flee. She was subsequently arrested for assault and resisting, delaying, or obstructing a peace officer, both misdemeanors, transported to CPD, and booked. She was later released with a citation to appear in court.
Thursday, June 26
Claremont police questioned a 47-year-old man from Hesperia and a Van Nuys man, 40, at 10:58 a.m. near First Street and Claremont Boulevard after receiving reports that they were carrying open containers of alcohol. Both men allegedly told police they had narcotics pipes on them, which a search confirmed. They were then arrested and charged with possession of unlawful paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and transported to CPD, where they were booked and released with citations.
Friday, June 27
Police received a 4:32 a.m. call for service from Claremont Colleges Campus Safety officers, who reported a man was walking in a restricted area near the 200 block of E. First Street. Police arrived and ran a records check of the 36-year-old Los Angeles man, which revealed a misdemeanor warrant. He was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.
Saturday, June 28
Reports of a man arguing with people and attempting to assault a woman at El Barrio Park at 400 Claremont Blvd., prompted a police response at 8:13 p.m. Police arrived and ran a records check of the 39-year-old Claremont resident, which showed an active restraining order from the woman he was with, and a misdemeanor Los Angeles County warrant. He was arrested for the warrant and for misdemeanor violation of a court order, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He appeared in Pomona Superior Court on Tuesday.
Monday, June 30
Claremont police stopped a car for equipment and moving violations at 2:04 a.m. near Foothill and Claremont boulevards and said the driver, a 20-year-old Pomona man, showed signs of alcohol impairment. After field sobriety tests, he was arrested for DUI and DUI while underage, both misdemeanors. He was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.
