Tuesday, June 10

Claremont Police were called to the Claremont Lodge, 736 S. Indian Hill Blvd., at 9:44 a.m. on reports of a person attempting to kick in a room door. Arriving officers spoke with a 24-year-old Long Beach woman. A records check showed a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant, and she was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

Monday, June 16

A person called Claremont police at 3:56 p.m. to report a man choking a woman at the Chevon/McDonald’s, 860 S. Indian Hill Blvd. Arriving officers arrested the Pomona man, 35, for misdemeanor domestic violence. A records check then revealed a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant, which was added to his charge list. He was transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He was released June 18 following his arraignment in Pomona Superior Court and is due back before a judge on August 12.

Police were called at 8:51 p.m. about a theft from Shell gas station, 747 S. Indian Hill Blvd. Officers questioned two people matching the description at Chevon/McDonald’s, 860 S. Indian Hill Blvd., but determined they were not related to the Shell incident. During questioning, a records check of a 57-year-old Pomona woman revealed a felony warrant, and a records check of a 60-year-old Pomona man turned up a misdemeanor Claremont warrant and a felony warrant. They were arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. The man appeared at Central Arraignment Court in Los Angeles on June 24 for a parole hearing before being transferred to the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic later that evening. He’s due back in court July 7. Inmate records show the woman was released to an outside agency on June 17.

Wednesday, June 18

Claremont police pulled over an Ontario man, 34, at Foothill Boulevard and Towne Avenue at 1:42 a.m. for moving violations. After field sobriety tests he was arrest for misdemeanor DUI and driving on a suspended license. He was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.

CPD received a 5:40 p.m. Apple crash notification from Claremont Pacifica Apartments, 750 W. Bonita Ave, and found a driver had driven into a wall at the complex. A license plate check of the car showed it had been reported stolen, and the 28-year-old Riverside driver was arrested for felony grand theft auto. Police allegedly found a narcotics pipe on him during the arrest, adding misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia to his charges. He was transported to CPD, booked, and later released with a citation.

 

Thursday, June 19

Police pulled over a 36-year-old Los Angeles woman for moving violations at 2:26 a.m. near Foothill Boulevard and Dewey Way in Upland. A records check showed a misdemeanor warrant from South Pasadena, and she was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and later released with a citation.

Saturday, June 21

Officers responded to a 12:47 a.m. call about a man slumped over in a booth at Eddie’s Italian Eatery, 1065 W. Foothill Blvd. After questioning the 42-year-old Banning man, he was arrested for misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance. A search then allegedly turned up fentanyl, adding misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance to his charges. He was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.

 

Sunday, June 22

At 10:59 p.m., police pulled over a car for equipment and moving violations at Foothill Boulevard and Towne Avenue. The driver, a 36-year-old Pomona man, did not have a valid driver’s license, and a records check of his passenger, a 29-year-old also from Pomona, revealed a misdemeanor warrant. Both were arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

Monday, June 23

Claremont police stopped a car for equipment and moving violations at 1:10 a.m. near Foothill Boulevard and Towne Avenue and discovered the driver, a 28-year-old Ontario man, had a suspended license. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and driving on a suspended license. He was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation. His car was impounded.
