Tuesday, May 20
Claremont Police Department officers questioned a 41-year-old homeless man at 4:21 a.m. at the former Greyhound bus station, 888 S. Indian Hill Blvd.. The man allegedly told police he was in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe, leading to his arrest for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.
Wednesday, May 21
Police stopped a 25-year-old Pomona woman for moving violations at Indian Hill Boulevard and 10th Street at 1:04 a.m. After field sobriety tests she was arrested for misdemeanor DUI, transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and later released with a citation.
At 3:40 a.m., police saw a 41-year-old homeless man sleeping outside in the 800 block of S. Indian Hill and conducted a welfare and records check, which revealed a San Bernardino County warrant. He was arrested, booked at CPD, then released with a citation.
Police received a 9:31 a.m. call from the 1300 block of Towne Avenue regarding a man sitting outside with several bottles next to him. Arriving officers searched the man and allegedly found methamphetamine and a pipe. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.
Friday, May 23
Police were called to the 500 block of Yale Avenue at 10:29 p.m. on reports of a man talking to himself outside a residence. Arriving officers interviewed the 55-year-old homeless man, and a records check showed a misdemeanor warrant. He was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.
Saturday, May 24
At 10:45 a.m., Upland police notified Claremont PD that it had detained a 38-year-old Alta Loma resident with two misdemeanor Claremont warrants. Claremont officers took custody of the man and transported him to CPD, where he was booked and held for court. He was moved to Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles on May 26 and was arraigned in Pomona Superior Court May 28.
Sunday, May 25
A resident in the 200 block of Olive Street called police at 12:28 p.m. to report a Los Angeles woman, 40, was violating the terms of a court order. Arriving officers confirmed a stay away order was in place, and arrested her for the misdemeanor violation. A records check then revealed a felony Los Angeles PD warrant, which was added to her charges. She was transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. She was later transported to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood in front of a May 28 appearance at Pomona Superior Court.
Monday, May 26
At 4:51 a.m., police questioned a 29-year-old Pomona man in the 800 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard who they recognized from previous encounters. A records check showed a misdemeanor Pomona PD warrant. Pomona police then took custody of the man. He was booked, held for court, and released on probation on May 27.
