Police Blotter: November 14, 2025

Sunday, November 2

Claremont Police Department officers responded to calls about a suspicious person near Foothill Boulevard and Dartmouth Avenue at 10:45 a.m. There they spoke with a 66-year-old Claremont man, who was arrested on a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant. Officers allegedly found him to be carrying a narcotics pipe, adding misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia to his charge list. He was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detoxification, and later released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

Wednesday, November 5

Police responded to an 8:15 a.m. call about a person smoking narcotics near Indian Hill Boulevard and American Avenue. Arriving officers spoke with a 38-year-old Claremont man and a subsequent search allegedly found methamphetamine and a meth pipe, leading to his arrest for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and unlawful paraphernalia. He was taken to jail, booked, held for detoxification, and later released with a citation to appear in court.

A construction company representative called Claremont police at 12:06 p.m. to report $15,000 worth of equipment had been stolen from a job site in the 700 block of E. Ninth Street. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Thursday, November 6

Police responded to Hendrick’s Pharmacy, 137 Harvard Ave., at 3:40 a.m. regarding a burglary in progress. Arriving officers gave chase to a black Dodge Charger with no license plates seen fleeing the scene, but lost sight of it after it sped away on the westbound 10 Freeway. Police said the pharmacy’s glass front door was shattered. After reviewing security camera footage, they noted three male suspects wearing dark clothing and face coverings. An investigation is ongoing.

Claremont police responded to Bonita and Yale avenues at 2 p.m. on reports of a fight in progress. Arriving officers spoke with two people and determined a domestic violence incident had occurred. The suspected aggressor, a 37-year-old Upland man, was arrested for felony domestic violence, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He was released after a November 8 appearance at Pomona Superior Court.

Pomona police informed CPD they had a 46-year-old Pomona man in custody with a misdemeanor Claremont warrant. Claremont police took custody of the man at 10:36 p.m. and returned him to CPD, where he was booked and held for court. He was released November 8.

 

Friday, November 7

A resident in 1800 block of Hanover Road called CPD at 12:58 p.m. to report having seen two masked men enter their home at 12:15 p.m. on security camera footage. An investigation is ongoing.

Police were called to a residence in the 900 block of W. Arrow Highway at 11:42 p.m. regarding a car that had been stolen sometime after 11:15 p.m. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Saturday, November 8

Claremont police stopped a driver for vehicle code violations in the 800 block of S. Indian Hill Boulevard at 4:45 p.m. Officers said the driver, a 36-year-old Alhambra man, showed signs of impairment, was driving on a suspended license, and had a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI, driving on a suspended license, and the warrant. There was a child in the car, which added misdemeanor child endangerment to his charge list. The man was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation. The child was released to a family member.
