Police Blotter: November 21, 2025

Saturday, November 8

Claremont Police Department officers stopped a driver for vehicle code violations near Black Hills Drive and Mills Avenue at 3:58 p.m. After a records check revealed a felony San Bernardino County warrant, the driver, a 22-year-old Pomona woman, was arrested, transported to Claremont jail, booked, and later transferred to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, where she was held for court. She was released November 10.

 

Tuesday, November 11

Police responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Ohio Drive at 8:37 a.m. on reports of a person violating a court order. A records check showed a 27-year-old Upland man was indeed in violation of a court order and he was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He was released on bond later that day.

 

Wednesday, November 12

Claremont Colleges Campus Safety officers called CPD at 12:01 p.m. to report they had detained a 28-year-old Ontario man who was under investigation for an alleged theft. Arriving officers conducted a records check, which revealed a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant, and a search that allegedly turned up methamphetamine and a narcotics pipe, adding misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and unlawful paraphernalia to his charge list. He was arrested and transported to CPD, where he was booked and later released with a citation to appear in court.

 

Thursday, November 13

Police were called to investigate a person causing a disturbance in the 100 block of W. Foothill Boulevard at 5:51 p.m. Arriving officers allege the suspect, a 34-year-old Claremont man, was too intoxicated to care for himself, not complying with their commands, and resisted when they attempted to detain him. He was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and resisting, delaying, or obstructing a peace officer, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

Calls about an impaired driver led police to stop a car near Mount Baldy Road and Mills Avenue at 8:49 p.m. After field sobriety tests, the driver, a 43-year-old Glendale woman, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. Officers noted a nitrous oxide tank in the car’s back seat, adding misdemeanor possession of nitrous oxide to her charge list. She was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and later released with a citation.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Baughman Avenue at 9:37 p.m. regarding a report of criminal threats. Arriving officers spoke with three witnesses and learned that during an earlier argument a 78-year-old Claremont woman allegedly threatened to stab someone. She was arrested for felony criminal threats, transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. She was later released on bond.

 

Friday, November 14

After receiving reports of people inhaling from balloons in a car, Claremont police pulled over a vehicle at 1:56 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Second Street. Police questioned two Ontario men, 20 and 22, and a search of the car allegedly turned up a nitrous oxide tank and balloons used for inhaling the substance commonly known as laughing gas. Both claimed ownership of the materials and were each charged with misdemeanor possession of nitrous oxide. They were transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.

Tuesday, November 18

CPD responded to reports of an attempted burglary at Los Jarritos restaurant, 921 W. Foothill Blvd., at 12:03 a.m. Arriving officers found evidence of an attempt to open the business’s rear door. Police are seeking a Caucasian man in his 50s of average build with shoulder length hair seen wearing a button up shirt and jeans. An investigation is ongoing.
