Police Blotter: October 31, 2025

Monday, October 20

Claremont Police Department officers stopped a car for vehicle code violations at Carducci’s Tuxedo, 1346 Towne Ave., at 12:08 p.m. A records check of the driver, a 48-year-old San Bernardino man, showed a suspended license. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and driving on a suspended license, transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detoxification, and later released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

 

Tuesday, October 21

Police responded to reports of a battery in progress at a residence in the 1100 block of Harvard Avenue at 12:28 p.m. There, police determined a domestic violence incident occurred between a female and a 33-year-old Ontario man who was the primary aggressor. He was arrested for felony domestic violence, transported to Claremont jail, booked, and held for court. He was released October 23 after appearing at Pomona Superior Court.

 

Wednesday, October 22

Police responded to Super King Market, 436 Auto Center Dr., following 9:31 a.m. calls about a car being keyed in the parking lot. Officers spoke with the victim and a West Covina woman, 36, who was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor vandalism, transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation.

 

Thursday, October 23

A person called police at 7:29 a.m. to report a vehicle burglary on the 200 block of York Place. Police said two suspects broke into a trailer and took two vacuum cleaners. Police said one person of unknown race, gender or build was seen wearing a gray hoodie, khaki pants and white shoes, and another suspect wore a black hoodie, blue pants and white shoes. They were last seen in a white Kia sedan.

Friday, October 24

Police stopped a car for vehicle code violations at 1:24 a.m. at Motel 6, 840 S. Indian Hill Blvd., and spoke with the driver, a 45-year-old Los Angeles man, who after field sobriety tests was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. A search allegedly yielded cocaine, adding misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance to his charge list. He was transported to CPD and booked, where he provided a chemical sample, was held for detox and later released.

A person called police at 7:59 a.m. to report a purse and laptop computer had been stolen from their unlocked car in the 700 block of W. 10th  Street.

Police were called to Knight Claremont Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, 620 Auto Center Dr., at 4:11 p.m. after someone allegedly tried to buy a car using a fraudulent check. Police arrived and spoke with a 27-year-old Carson man who allegedly had additional fake documents in his possession. He was arrested for felony burglary, forgery, and check fraud, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

Police responded to Vons, 550 E. Base Line Rd., at 10:15 p.m. on reports of a person masturbating in the restroom. Arriving officers spoke with a 39-year-old Pomona man who matched caller’s description. A records check showed a misdemeanor San Bernardino County warrant, and a search allegedly yielded a narcotics pipe. He was arrested for the warrant and misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia, transported to CPD, booked, and later released with a citation.

Saturday, October 25

Calls about two people arguing at Cornell Avenue and First Street at 9:57 p.m. prompted a police response. Arriving officers said a woman had a visible injury and a 29-year-old Montclair man was the primary aggressor, resulting in his arrest for felony domestic violence. He was transported to CPD, booked, and held for court. He was released on bond October 26 in front of an October 28 appearance at Pomona Superior Court.
