Police Blotter: September 26, 2025

Tuesday, September 16

Claremont Police Department officers were called to Motel 6, 840 S. Indian Hill Blvd., at 12:43 p.m. on reports of a man acting suspiciously. Arriving officers ran a records check of the suspect, a 56-year-old Pomona man, revealing a misdemeanor warrant from El Monte. He was arrested, transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.

Upland police called Claremont PD at 5:35 p.m. after arresting an Upland man, 55, who had a misdemeanor warrant out of Claremont. Claremont police traveled to Upland, took custody of the man, and transported him to CPD, where he was booked and released with a citation.


Thursday, September 18

Police pulled over a driver for vehicle code violations near Foothill Boulevard and Towne Avenue at 5:50 p.m. After giving police a false name he was identified as a 54-year-old Victorville resident with a felony probation violation warrant and no driver’s license. During a search of the man’s car, police allegedly found methamphetamine and added felony possession of a controlled substance with a prior conviction to his charge list, which also included misdemeanor driving without a valid license and giving false ID to a peace officer. He was then transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and held for court. He appeared at Pomona Superior Court on September 22 on the felony possession and false ID charges, to which he pleaded not guilty. He remained at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles at press time and is due back in court November 4.

A car dealership in the 600 block of Auto Center Drive called police at 4:09 p.m. after learning someone had purchased a vehicle using fraudulent means earlier that day. Police are investigating the grand theft auto and fraud incident and ask anyone with knowledge of the crime to call (909) 399-5411.

Friday, September 19

A man and woman walked into Claremont Police Department at 4:19 p.m. The man told police the 41-year-old Upland woman he was with had violated a court order and needed to be arrested, and gave them a copy of the order. The woman was arrested for misdemeanor violation of a family court order, booked, and held for court. She was released on bond later that day.

A person in the 100 block of Fayette Court phoned Claremont PD at 8:56 p.m. because they believed a neighbor’s residence was being burglarized. Officers arrived and found a door leading into the residence had been broken. They determined about $10,000 worth of jewelry and designer bags were stolen. Police ask anyone with knowledge of the crime to call (909) 399-5411.

Saturday, September 20

Police responded to a residence on the 600 block of W. San Jose Avenue at 9:40 a.m. on reports that a man had been stabbed in the arm. Arriving officers arrested the man’s spouse, a 54-year-old Claremont woman, for felony assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence, and misdemeanor child abuse, as the alleged event took place in the presence of a child. A records check of the 53-year-old Claremont man showed a felony no bail federal probation violation warrant, and he was arrested as well. Both parties were transported to CPD and booked. The woman was released with a citation. The man was held for court.

CPD officers responded to a 5:51 p.m. burglary alarm notification at Western Dental, 740 S. Indian Hill Blvd., where they saw a front window of the business had been shattered. Police ask anyone with information about the crime to call (909) 399-5411.

Sunday, September 21

A man called police to Motel 6, 840 S. Indian Hill Blvd., at 10:45 p.m. reporting money had been stolen from his wallet. Arriving officers spoke to the man, who said a nearby 34-year-old woman from Baldwin Park was the culprit. Police found no evidence she was involved in the alleged theft, but a records check revealed misdemeanor warrants from San Bernardino and Ventura counties, leading to her arrest. She was subsequently transported to CPD, booked, and released with citations.
