Police blotter 11-20-20
Thursday, November 12
Claremont Police Department officers on foot patrol at 9:45 a.m. near the Motel 6 at 840 S. Indian Hill Blvd. questioned 20-year-old Lake Balboa resident Chavonne Jernigan, and discovered she had two warrants out for her arrest, one from Los Angeles and the other out of Pomona. She was arrested, booked, and released with a citation to appear in court.
Saturday, November 14
Claremont cops on patrol at 2:50 p.m. near Foothill Blvd. and Garey Ave. ran the plates of a 2012 Nissan Versa, which came back stolen out of Pomona. They then pulled the driver over, and arrested without incident Robert Taylor, 33, from Alta Loma, on a felony grand theft auto charge. He was booked at the Claremont Police Station, then released with a citation to appear in Pomona Superior Court.
Tuesday, November 17
Police on patrol near the intersection of Indian Hill Boulevard and Auto Center Drive say they saw a man walking in the middle of the street at 4:20 a.m. When they attempted to question him, he took off running. After a brief foot pursuit, the officers managed to detain him without injury to anyone involved. The 40-year-old homeless man was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, and officers placed him under arrest. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
