CHS celebrates grand reopening of music building

It was a long time coming, but Claremont High School finally had its moment to celebrate the completion of its newly remodeled music building. The upgrades — including new cabinetry, an enhanced sound system, and expanded space for group learning — mark a major improvement in how music is taught and experienced on campus. These enhancements are expected to make learning to play and sing music more accessible and collaborative for all students.

The celebration took place on Thursday, April 17, with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. CHS senior and Chamber Singer Bella Sacks had the honor of cutting the ribbon, surrounded by enthusiastic Claremont Unified School District leadership and supporters. Courier photos/Peter Weinberger

The CHS Chamber Singers impressed attendees with a live performance, above, showcasing their talent in the newly upgraded space. As the group took the stage, CUSD Superintendent Jim Elsasser and other district leaders looked on proudly, capping off a day full of music, pride, and community spirit.
