Claremont Unified School District board member Hilary LaConte and Claremont resident Joe Farrell are the first 2 names entered into the candidate filing database for this year’s school board election. Ms. LaConte will be seeking re-election after being elected in 2007 while Mr. Farrell, a former school board member in Connecticut, will be seeking his first term with CUSD. Board President Beth Bingham’s term is also set to expire this December.

Citrus College governing board member Sue Keith is also seeking re-election as the first candidate to file for the board trustee position covering the cities of Claremont, Azusa, La Verne and Pomona. She is currently the only candidate who has filed as of Thursday.

The filing period will be open through August 12th. The election will take place on November 8th.
