Town, gown and 100 years of CGU

The October 29 town and gown event brought the city’s movers and shakers to the home of Claremont Graduate University interim President Michelle Bligh to reaffirm the century-long relationship between the Claremont Colleges and the City of Claremont.

“Events such as town and gown remind us that our success as an institution has always been deeply intertwined with the vitality and vision of this extraordinary city,” Bligh said.

This year marks CGU’s centennial. Scripps College will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026.
