Girls soccer winds up ?magical? season
All good things must come to an end.
Such was the case on Tuesday as the
CHS girls soccer team broke their winning
streak with a tough 1-0 loss to
Aliso Niguel High School in Orange
County.
The Wolverines were ranked 2nd and
the Wolfpack 9th among 100 teams in 8
states that played girls soccer.
The single goal against the CHS,
Coach Tim Tracey reported, came in
the middle of the first half on a defensive
mistake.
Claremont had racked up a 28-1-3
record on the season, and had gone
through 5 playoff contests without a
single goal against them.
“They are,” Coach Tracey reflected,
“a pretty amazing group of young
ladies. It was a very magical season for
everybody—for the team, the school,
the parents and the community!”
