Foothill Boulevard road work to resume in July
As part of the Foothill Boulevard Master Plan Improvement Project punch list items, city staff has identified a few areas that require some adjustment. This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 29 and is anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2020, according to the city manager’s report.
Construction activities include installation of a local area drain in the median islands at the intersections of Yale, Harvard and Dartmouth Avenues.
Work will also include installation of one additional dry well to better accommodate the median island bio-swale between Indian Hill Boulevard and Yale Avenue. A dry well is an underground structure that disposes of unwanted water, most commonly surface runoff and stormwater.
In addition to this work, the contractor will also address a few locations along Foothill Boulevard where the roadway surface requires some restoration, according to city officials.
“Consistent with previously approved traffic control patterns, a minimum of one travel lane along Foothill Boulevard will remain open in each direction,” the city said. No further details about lane closures were provided.
