A foggy morning in Claremont

Fog slowly rolls into Claremont: Foggy mornings are in the forecast as the inversion layer from the west drifts far inland to the Claremont area at the Base Line Road exit at the 210 freeway. But high temperatures will still warm up to the 70s by the afternoon. There is also a warm-up in the forecast with temperatures in the mid-80s by week’s end. The bad news is the inversion layer traps pollutants and is a significant factor in the formation of smog. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
